Lonestone Park is a neighborhood park.  Neighborhood parks are considered the basic unit of a community’s park system and provide a recreational and social focus for residential areas. These parks desirably provide space for informal active and passive recreational activities. Park space is provided for recreational for recreational activities such as field games, court games, picnic facilities and playground equipment. Neighborhood parks may contain amenities that serve the community as a whole. An example of this is an athletic field that is used by an athletic organization.
