The City of Chatfield  along with  the Olmsted County Emergency Management Offices are now able to provide both Fillmore & Olmsted County Chatfield residents with notifications of urgent situations.  By signing up with this system, you can be notified of situations like snowplowing, water breaks and street closings.

There are two types of CodeRed alerts:
URGENT ALERTS: Local alerts such as snow plowing, water breaks, street sweeping and street closings which may require some action on your part.

EMERGENCY ALERTS—These are life threatening emergency notifications issued through the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) .  The alert will tell you what is happening, specific instructions to follow and the anticipated emergency time frame and who is sending the alert.  You may already be receiving IPAWS alerts such as AMBER alerts and Severe Weather alerts if government alerts are activated on your mobile phone.  Although there is no need to signup for CodeRed for this service, doing so will ensure your receive timely and accurate alerts.

When you enroll in this system you choose how you want to be notified. The City is pleased to be able to provide this service as a way to work with those who routinely park on the streets to receive notifications that vehicles need to be removed from the street for snow plowing.
